Mangaluru: The Catholic Diocese of Mangaluru is celebrating Jubilee Year 2025 with the theme “Pilgrims of Hope.”
As part of the observance, the Episcopal City Deanery has initiated spiritual and cultural renewal programmes. The inaugural event was held on Sunday at the open grounds of St Joseph Seminary in Jeppu.
Bishop Most Rev. Dr. Peter Paul Saldanha inaugurated the three-day event and said that living by the Word of God brings peace and joy. “The Word is not just text—it is a way of life,” he added.
The event featured Bible-based short play competitions and hymn-singing contests, involving 11 churches under the Episcopal City Deanery.
Present at the event were Vicar General Rev. Fr. Maxim Noronha, Chancellor Fr. Victor George D’Souza, Rev. Fr. Ronald Serrao, Rev. Fr. J.B. Saldanha, Rev. Fr. Maxim D’Souza, Rev. Fr. Walter D’Souza, Rev. Fr. J.B. Crasta, Rev. Fr. Eric Crasta, Rev. Fr. Vijay Victor Lobo, Rev. Fr. Bonaventure Nazareth, and media coordinator Elias Fernandes.
