Urologist says Biden may have known about his prostate cancer when he ran for president in 2020

Amid allegations that the Bidens did a meticulous cover-up of former president Joe Biden's prostate cancer, urologist Dr David Shusterman said Biden may have known about the cancer at least for the past 10 years because it takes years to reach the stage in which Biden's cancer is now.

Going by this timeline, Biden may have known about his medical condition when he contested for the election in 2020.

Dr Shusterman said it's unheard of for someone with Biden's level of care to not know that he had protate cancer 5-10 years ago.

"He is a former president, had intensive state-of-the-art care..It's unusual to hear that someone has prostate cancer when they're annually being followed up. The fact that we find it at a Gleason 9 us unheard of."

"Most likely he had it for a long time..aggressive prostate cancer grows over a long period of time. Five top ten years...in the most aggressive form," the urologist said.

Republican leader says it's possible that Biden did not know

US Rep Greg Murphy, who is also a urologist, said it's indeed possible that Biden did not know about his cancer until recently. Even if Biden’s physicians measured his Prostate-Specific Antigen (PSA) levels, Murphy said, the levels could have been deceptively low. A rectal examination may not have been performed as a separate gauge, he added, saying a patient needs both.

“To say that he’s being diagnosed with this and it’s being hidden, I think, is wrong. We don’t need to make that leap right now,” Murphy said. “I think America needs to step back and stop making everything political.”

Murphy said he saw patients live 10 to 16 years with this type of diagnosis and also die within months -- everything depends on how well they respond to the treatment.

President Donald Trump stayed away from politicizing the issue and issued a statement wishing Biden well, but his son Donald Trump Jr accused Jill Biden of covering up the president's cancer. Don Jr, in his allegation, mistakenly referred to Jill Biden as a medical doctor while she holds a doctorate degree in literature.
