NEW DELHI: The Bharatiya Janata Party on Monday lashed out at Congress leader Rahul Gandhi for "disrespecting Indian democracy ". Speaking to the Indian diaspora in Boston, Rahul had alleged that the Election Commission (EC) has been "compromised."
BJP MP Sambit Patra hit back at Rahul saying that this was not the first time that the Congress leader had disrepected India on foreign soil. Calling Rahul a "traitor" Patra said that it was shameful that while the US VP is India, Rahul is "disrespecting" the country in US.
"Rahul Gandhi if you are incapable of contesting elections, then fight elections in another country. You are a traitor not only because he has disrespected Indian on foreign soil but because he has stolen crore and crores of the country money in the national hearld case," Patra said.
