JAMMU : A suspected Pakistani drone hovering over a border village in Ramgarh sector of Jammu and Kashmir ’s Samba district was noticed on Friday night, prompting security forces to launch a massive search operation.
“Acting on the information, BSF and police rushed to the area and launched a combing operation to check whether narcotics or weapons had been airdropped,” a source said.
Earlier, a suspected drone movement was also noticed at a border village in Ramgarh sector around 6.30 am last Sunday. It disappeared before any action could be taken.
Prior to this, on the night of September 6, a suspected Pakistani drone was spotted hovering west to east over a military garrison in Samba district’s Bari Brahmana area.
