Aaditi Pohankar works in Hindi, Marathi, and Tamil films and web series. She got her big break in the 2014 Marathi action movie Lai Bhaari alongside Riteish Deshmukh. Later, she became well-known for her roles in the Hindi series She and Aashram (both since 2020).

The Foam Board Confusion

In a chat with Bollywood Bubble, Aaditi shared that her first really awkward moment happened on the Lai Bhaari set. She recalled her first awkward moment on the set of Lai Bhaari. On that particular day, Riteish Deshmukh had to leave for another shoot, so they filmed his scenes first. As it was her first film, Aaditi was unfamiliar with the process. She found herself confused when a person stood still, holding a foam board, and wondered if he was supposed to interact with her. When they called "action," she was still unsure about his role in the scene.

Delivering Lines to a Foam Board

She further shared how she ended up delivering her lines to a foam board during her first film, Lai Bhaari. She thought she was supposed to look into the eyes of her co-actor, but by the time she was ready, he had already left. Left with no choice, she had to speak to the foam board instead, feeling unsure how to proceed. The awkward moment stretched on, but eventually, she started looking around for any eyes to focus on, figuring out how to continue the scene.

Director Nishikant Kamat’s Help

Aaditi concluded by recalling how the director, Nishikant Kamat, eventually helped her through the situation by positioning the foam board properly and encouraging her to deliver the line directly to him. She laughed at the memory now, reflecting on how awkward it was at the time. She also emphasized that, despite her own challenging experience, she has always been kind to newcomers on set.
