Toddler falls of motorcycle, run over by truck

Rajkot: A three-and-a-half-year old boy was crushed to death under a truck after he accidentally fell off a motorcycle near Madhapar junction on Monday.

The child, Hardik Chaudhary, was riding pillion on the motorcycle of a family friend, Vikram, with his mother Khushi and aunt Muskan. At about 9.30pm, as they reached Vinayak Vatika Society, Vikram braked hard because a speed-breaker lay ahead.

This caused all four riders to fall off the motorcycle. Hardik fell onto the road, and a speeding truck coming from behind ran over him. He died in the hospital.

The truck driver fled the scene. Gandhigram police registered an offence and are searching for the truck driver. They are examining CCTV footage for leads.
