Mangaluru: District minister Dinesh Gundu Rao said that the construction of the new DC office complex at Padil will be completed by April 20, and chief minister Siddaramaiah will inaugurate it within this month.
Rao was speaking after visiting the new DC office complex on Saturday. He told reporters that the work on the complex has reached its completion stage. "We have requested CM Siddaramaiah to schedule a day for the inauguration of the complex. We plan to inaugurate the project in April itself, as all work is expected to be completed by April 20. The CM will inaugurate the DC office complex, indoor stadium, Praja Soudha in Moodbidri, and various other development works," Rao said.
The foundation stone for the DC Office Complex was laid when Siddaramaiah was the chief minister in his previous tenure. Hence, the CM will inaugurate it, as all financial requirements for the project have already been arranged. This new DC office premises will help people avail seamless govt services. All necessary facilities for the convenience of officials as well as the public are being provided in the building, he said.
