Fortnite developer Epic Games has announced plans to release the first major update of the new season.
Fortnite update 37.10 has been given an August 26 release date and a 9am BST UK release time.
Unfortunately, however, the new update will be accompanied by a period of server downtime, which also begins at 9am BST. This means you won't be able to play Fortnite for at least a couple of hours while maintenance is being performed.
The news was announced by Epic Games alongside a preview about what to expect.
"Air strike online in BR. Ranked Reload climb begins anew," Epic explains.
"Downtime for v37.10 begins at 4 AM ET with matchmaking ending shortly beforehand."
As you can see from the tweet above, matchmaking will be disabled shortly beforehand, typically at around 8.30am.
On the plus side, fans can expect bog changes for the likes of Battle Royale, Fortnite Festival and Blitz.
Fortnite Battle Royale fans, for example, will be able to utilise the new Air Strike feature, which introduces a destructive new element to the game.
Air Strikes will give players the ability to call a huge explosion down on opponents in a certain area.
That's on top of a new One Punch Man collaboration, the introduction of Battle Pass super styles for users above level 100 and other new skins.
Furthermore, Gorillaz will be added to Fortnite Festival as the new Band Icons for Season 10.
Needless to say, fans can also expect various bug fixes and gameplay tweaks, which you can read about in the patch notes below.
