Viewers of The Chase were left fuming after one contestant took a negative offer from Chaser Shaun Wallace. Victoria from London only managed to raise £2,000 in her cash builder. Unimpressed by her performance, Shaun gave her the choice of playing for that, a low offer of -£1,000, or a high offer of £80,000. After a tricky cash builder, she opted for the low offer, and viewers were not amused.
Taking to X, one raged: "Took minus £1,000 on #TheChaseShameful!" A second agreed writing: "Minus offer w***** - why bother turning up?" A third chimed in: "She'll probably be a total passenger in the final chase as well, answering like 1 right 2 a fourth shared: "There always seems to be a T***** that takes the lower offer. Oh man." A fourth commented: "Low offer booo #thechase useless." A fifth shared: "Taking the low offer is like stealing money from a collection basket in Church. It's just wrong."
Despite the backlash against her, Victoria managed to make it back to the team to compete in the final chase, although their £10,000 total was depleted by £1,000 after her decision to go for the low offer.
The team was already down one member as Paul from Essex hadn't managed to survive his confrontation with Shaun.
Alongside Ryan from Lisburn and Kirsty from Stockton-on-Tees, she tried to answer as many questions as possible to challenge the Dark Destroyer.
The team managed to answer 15 questions, but unfortunately, it wasn't enough. Despite Shaun's poor performance, he still managed to catch them, meaning they all walked away with nothing.

"I've got to take the nine grand away," host Bradley Walsh said. "Victoria. Ryan, Kirsty, you have been caught, and for you, The Chase is finally over.
"Four attempts to push back three executed. So much so, right at the start of the game, we couldn't push him back anymore.
"We had to push you on, and he still recovered from that, and that's a major blow. If (you)had Paul with us as well..." Bradley pondered.
"That was a quality performance by all three, especially you, Ryan...whereas I say at the end of the day, it's just another day at the office," Shaun added.
