Prince William and Princess Kate were reportedly "shocked" over a rumour that Meghan Markle had allegedly yelled at a Palace employee before her 2018 wedding. While it was previously believed that Prince William and Princess Kate drifted apart from Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan, after they stepped back from royal life in 2020, it is now well-known that cracks had already begun to show in the years leading up to this.
It is especially well-known that some of the rifts began before Harry and Meghan's 2018 wedding, with the bridesmaid dress argument being one of the better-known rifts between Kate and Meghan. However, it is now also believed that William and Kate, 43, became uncertain about Meghan when it was claimed she had "yelled" at staff before her big day.
As reported by The Daily Mail, The Prince and Princess of Wales, both 43, have always treated their staff like a type of family; however, it is believed Meghan did not take the same approach.
This claim was put forward by royal author Tina Brown, who wrote in her book 'The Palace Papers' that William and Meghan were "allegedly shocked by the way Meghan treated their shared employees".
The author wrote: "A typically uncomfortable incident had taken place during the roll-out of the wedding plans when I was told Meghan yelled at a junior employee who held an announcement back because it clashed with something scheduled with the household of another senior royal."
An insider reportedly told the author, who was also a friend of the late Princess Diana, that Meghan did not bully this staff member, however they had "never heard of a member of the Royal Family talking like that to a member of staff".
This is not the first time Meghan has been accused of alleged mistreatment of Palace staff, however the duchess has always denied all allegations made against her.
While Harry and William, and their wives, are believed to have shared a good relationship at first, this is believed to have completely fizzled out since 'Megxit' five years ago.
It is now believed the couples are not on talking terms, with William, 43, and his brother Harry, 41, believed to be estranged from one another.
This is still believed to be the case despite the fact Harry has been starting to make amends with their father King Charles, 76, after a rocky relationship.
