will be leaving the house after a showdown with bosses over his behaviour on the reality show. The American actor, 72, was initially pegged to be the first celebrity for eviction after fans criticised his flirty on the show's opening night. Although he survived the first public vote, with Michael Fabricant getting axed from the house instead, he has now been asked to leave by show bosses.
A spokesperson for the ITV show commented on the situation saying: "Mickey Rourke has agreed to leave the Celebrity Big Brother House this evening following a discussion with Big Brother regarding further use of inappropriate language and instances of unacceptable behaviour." The Hollywood star already previously got slapped with a stern warning for homophobic language just days into the show.
Housemates were taken aback when Rourke told his co-star JoJo Siwa that she "won't be gay anymore" if she stays in the Big Brother house for more than four days.
He later went on to shock Chris Hughes, telling him: "I'm going to vote the lesbian out real quick." That wasn't the end of it though, as Rourke went on to joke "I'm not talking about you" to Siwa after saying he "needed a fag" in the smoking area.
At the time he was called into the Diary Room, where he received a slap on the wrist from Big Brother, along with a warning that his behaviour might be offensive to his housemates. Rourke said he was sorry for his language, saying: "I apologise. I don't have dishonourable intentions - I'm just talking smack you know. I wasn't taking it all so serious. I didn't mean in it any bad intentions and if I did, sorry."
According to , there were more instances of misconduct which have not been seen by viewers.
On top of that, Rourke angered fans when he gave AJ Odudu lewd glances when he came on the show, prompting her to exclaim " Stop looking at me!" He complimented her outfit after looking her up and down, adding: "I want to stay here with you."
Odudu addressed the incident on the Big Brother aftershow when remarked: "Can we talk about Mickey Rourke looking at you? Find someone who looks at you like Mickey Rourke looks at [AJ], honestly. His tongue was hanging out."
The show host joked: "It was. I was like, 'You can't afford these feathers, Mickey. No!"
Rourke also cry after mocking her culinary skills yesterday. She broke down over their conversation later in the diary room, saying: "I tried to talk that one out but it didn't really work. I feel like I let myself down there and I don't want my reactions to be like that."
