During the interview, Meghan appeared "upbeat" and "charming" as reported by the publication, however there seemed to be one thing that was bothering her.
The journalist said Meghan appeared bothered by some of the public's negatives opinions of her - and seemed especially "bothered" by claims that she is "unrelatable and out of touch."
These claims have been made by the public against the duchess over the last month following the release of her Netflix show "With Love, Meghan" in March.
The series, which shows the duchess cooking and hosting for friends in a rented mansion, has been despite the fact some viewers felt it wasn't relatable as a result of global problems being faced worldwide.
However, when this subject was brought up in the New York Times interview, Meghan reportedly replied: "Don't they know my life hasn't always been like this?"
Elsewhere in the interview, Meghan also hinted that her life is not as unrelatable as people may think, especially on busy days.
