Barcelona midfielder Lamine Yamal is reportedly suffering from a painful condition which has no cure. The teenage sensation has missed several games this season due to a groin injury, causing him no shortage of discomfort. He could be seen grimacing with pain during last weekend's El Clasico defeat at the hands of Real Madrid.
Yamal has already been sidelined for five games in all competitions and is said to be dealing with a chronic medical condition. According to Sport, he is suffering from pubalgia, which causes muscles to converge in the pubic area. Barcelona medics are said to fear that Yamal's condition may be chronic with no obvious cure.
Lionel Messi suffered with a similar problem during his time at Barcelona, with the eight-time Ballon d'Or winner opening up on his experience in a 2019 interview.
"Pubalgia is complicated," he told Argentine media. "I suffer from it for a while now, I do little training and I can not play all the games.
"It is not a problem that can be solved overnight. I feel better now, but I still have not recovered and I still need treatment."

In spite of his condition, Yamal continues to deliver match-winning performances for Barcelona. He has scored two goals and laid on five assists in his six league appearances, having emerged as a key man for the Catalan giants.
Yamal broke through at Barcelona at the age of 15 and has already won two La Liga titles, as well as securing Euros glory with Spain last year.
Hansi Flick recently accused the national team of 'not taking care' of Yamal after he aggravated his groin injury in games against Bulgaria and Turkey.
"Lamine goes to the national team with pain, didn't train, had painkillers to play, they were three goals ahead in every match, and he played 79 and 73 minute," said the Barcelona boss.
"Between the matches he didn't train. This is not taking care of players. Spain have the best team in the world, in every position they are unbelievably good. I am really sad about this [situation].
"I never really spoke with [Spain manager Luis de la Fuente]. Maybe my Spanish is not good, his English is not good, so this is a problem."
