Police, paramedics and firefighters responded to an ongoing incident in a Scottish village this morning. Emergency services rushed on Monday to Cathkin Place in the Whitehirst Park area in Kilwinning.
Police Scotland initially said officers were responding to the incident after being called to reports of a man causing a disturbance. Armed officers were also in attendance, with people living in the area being urged to stay indoors, the Ardrossan Herald reports. Shortly after noon, police said they had arrested a man. Enquiries, they added, were still ongoing.
