I worked with Rylan Clark and he showed his true colours within minutes

Reality TV star Luke Worley opened up about working with Rylan Clark, revealing what the presenter is really like in real life. Luke recently returned to screens on Paramount+ series Dating Naked, two years after his appearance on Married at First Sight. The controversial show, hosted by Rylan, features fully unclothed participants as they search for love - and compete for a £50,000 prize. In an interview with Express Online, Luke praised Rylan, highlighting how he never acted superior to the cast and helped put everyone at ease during filming.

The TV star said: "He's a good guy. He's no different from anyone else, and he puts people at ease. Dating Naked is the perfect show for Rylan, and as the seasons go on, hoping that next year's is commissioned, I think you'll see him come out of his shell even more. There are points where, if he had full free rein in what he's saying and doing, it could be even better." Luke admitted he respects Rylan for being unapologetically honest and not worrying about others' opinions.

He continued: "What I respect about Rylan is that he does say his opinion. He doesn't care what people think, like with what happened to him recently on This Morning. He's open and honest in what he says and I'm quite similar to that, so I relate to him on that. He's the same as all of us there. He didn't make us feel any lesser than him and made us feel so comfortable."

He believes Rylan is perfect for the show's cheeky and controversial style, adding: "I got to speak to him a few times because I got kicked out twice. We're both from Essex so we had a bit in common.

"Overall, he is perfect for that type of show. It's a bit tongue and cheek and controversial. It can sway opinions but that is his personality. He's a bit like marmite and I think the show is too."

Luke added: "I can see it getting better and better as the seasons go on."

Despite being extremely nervous at the start, Luke advised others to focus on themselves during that first day, after which being naked starts to feel completely normal.

He said: "Remember everyone is in the same boat. For me, I was so nervous. You don't get to see it because it's off camera but I was pacing for hours on end in this room. I didn't stop pacing. It takes you a good day to adjust.

"My advice would be: get through that first day with your head down. Don't worry about anything but yourself. After that, the rest gets so much easier. It's like it's normal to be naked."

Luke saw Dating Naked a chance to show his true self, something he felt he wasn't able to do on MAFS due to the way it was edited. Luke admitted he wouldn't recommend MAFS to his "worst enemy" and believes the editing process should be "illegal".

In contrast, Luke had nothing but praise for the behind-the-scenes team on Dating Naked.

"Everyone at Dating Naked was unbelievable. All of the welfare team, I could name all of them, they were so good. If you ever needed anything, they would help you because they want to keep you at ease," he said. "It was a really really good experience from the back end side of it to what you see on TV, it is what you saw and everyone was so comfortable."

While Luke has stepped away from reality dating shows for the time being, he has two upcoming TV projects in the pipeline. He also expressed interest in joining Big Brother, admitting it's a show he's dreamed of being part of since childhood.

Alongside his television work, which he considers more of a hobby, Luke has shifted his focus to business and currently runs his own telecoms company.
