One winner of quiz show was left in an unfortunate encounter after scooping an impressive prize pot on the programme. Over on , user u/MrsWaltonGoggins was keen to share their experiences after walking away with £6,666 - a three-way split of the £19,998 prize pot. But things took a turn when the only member of their team who didn't make it to the final chase had to share the same train home.
The user wrote: "I was on The Chase ten years ago. Walked away with £6,666.66. was really lovely, as was the Chaser, . It was quite a nail biting final chase, down to the wire. I was so hyped about winning!

"It was quite awkward though, as only three of the team had made it to the final, so there was one guy that didn't win anything. We all had to get the train back into London together, and the three of us that won wanted to be like 'Woohoo! Yes! We're awesome!', but it didn't seem right when the losing guy was with us, so we made stilted conversation and avoided the topic."
Asked what they did with the money, the user explained: "My husband and I flew out to Dallas and went to Wrestlemania!"
It comes after a spin-off was reported to be in the works, with a non-televised pilot produced in March 2025 by Potato, the same company behind The Chase and Beat the Chasers.
The publication reports that "details on the format are being kept secret, and it remains to be seen whether ITV take the show to series".
What is known, however, is the title - The Chase Around the World. The show will be a "travel competition" spin-off of the TV staple. With numerous adaptations of the show around the world, with versions in the United States and Australia, it could even comprise some of the foreign chasers competing with the UK cast.
