hero Gary Pallister has admitted Red Devils stars were allowed to celebrate in style every time they won a trophy under . The north west giants have the chance to win their first trophy of the Ruben Amorim era on Wednesday evening when they take on Tottenham in the Europa League final.
Pallister, 59, won a host of trophies during a nine-year spell at Old Trafford between 1989 and 1998. The former defender was part of the side that won the European Cup Winners' Cup in 1991 following a 2-1 victory against Barcelona. And he also won four league titles, three FA Cups and the League Cup before leaving the club to return to Middlesbrough.
United have endured a disappointing season this time around and around Manchester should they come out on top against Spurs.
The club will instead invite players, staff and their families to a celebratory barbecue at their Carrington training ground, with United's schedule proving too tight to fit in a trophy parade.
And Pallister exclusively revealed to Express Sport as part of his partnership with : "When we played under Sir Alex it was always if you win something you celebrate and enjoy yourself celebrating.

"You've got to gauge that from within the club, how everyone feels about it. I'd like to think you'd be able to celebrate with a big party with family and friends which is what we used to do at a hotel if we won an FA Cup. Or we'd book somewhere if we won the Premier League, and we'd have a great night out together.
"The players and the families I'm sure will be there to celebrate it if United beat Tottenham. European Cup Winners' Cup, we had a great day touring around the city on the bus.
"I think we'd finished mid-table that season, but we were starting to edge up. We were getting to be a better team, we'd won the FA Cup the year before. We won the Cup Winners' Cup."
The winner of Wednesday's match will cement their place in the Champions League next season, with six Premier League teams set to enter the competition for the first time ever.
And Pallister added: "If you were to get into the Champions League it leads to different responses as well in terms of attracting players to the club, in terms of being able to spend a bit more money to bring players to the club.
"It's all there in the melting pot if you win the game on Wednesday night. It's hugely important. Does it paper over the cracks? No, because United finished as low as they've ever finished in the Premier League and it's been a season to forget right from the get-go really. But it's a massive game."
