Decent Brits are being silenced and told they're far-right for telling the truth

Telling the truth is now seen as a weapon of the right. Once upon a time, telling the truth wasn't a political statement - it was just called honesty. But in 2025, the simple act of stating a fact can get you branded "right-wing", "problematic", or worse. We've reached a point where acknowledging biological reality or defending women's spaces is treated like a radical act.

Take the magnificent seven nurses from Darlington. They spoke up for something millions of people quietly believe - that female-only hospital wards should remain just that: female-only. No hostility. No hate. Just a statement of common sense and patient dignity. For that, they were bullied, investigated, and smeared. In a sane world, they'd be applauded for protecting women's privacy. Instead, they were treated like they'd burned a rainbow flag on live television.

This is the absurdity of our times. The left, once the champion of "speaking truth to power", now punishes anyone who dares to utter a truth that doesn't fit their ideology. The word "truth" itself has been politicised.

Say that children shouldn't be taught gender ideology in primary school? You're a bigot. Question the wisdom of erasing sex-based data? You're "far right". Express concern about illegal migration? Congratulations, you've just been appointed head of UKIP.

It's madness. And it's silencing decent, reasonable people who just want open debate without being cancelled or condemned. Facts should be neutral - they don't vote Conservative or Labour. But today, truth has become a tribal badge. The left claims to be progressive, but progress built on denial isn't progress at all.

The real irony is that many of those being vilified aren't hardliners or extremists. They're nurses, teachers, parents like Adam Brooks - people who care about fairness and reality. Yet their quiet courage exposes just how intolerant modern "tolerance" has become.

It shouldn't be controversial to say women deserve single-sex spaces. It shouldn't be brave to say biology matters. It shouldn't be a career risk to defend truth. But here we are living in a time when honesty has been turned into heresy.

So to the magnificent seven, and everyone else daring to stand up for reality: thank you. You're not right-wing for telling the truth. You're just refusing to lie - and that, in today's world, might be the most rebellious act of all.
