BBC fans were less than impressed when a Strictly Come Dancing judge labelled a contestant as "dull." Speaking on the spin-off show, It Takes Two, host Fleur East interviewed Craig Revel Horwood, who gave his thoughts on the remaining celebrities. Touching on Alex Kingston and her partner Johannes Radebe, Fleur addressed her Rumba after she received a score of 10 from judge Shirley Ballas. Craig replied to this by saying: "Overmarked! Just saying. I want to see a bit more splash. I just find it a bit samey - and dare I say it - dull, darling. I think it would be really nice for her to take some bigger risks. She's got great technique and she's a fantastic actor."
One fan said on X in response: "No Craig - Alex Kingston is NOT Dull." Another also similarly echoed: "not craig calling alex dull #strictly."
However, one person disagreed and said: "Loving Craig being straight-talking on #ittakestwo. Absolutely the best #Strictly judge." Another also typed: "This is why @CraigRevHorwood should be the head judge all the time #ItTakesTwo #Strictly #StrictlyComeDancing."
Elsewhere in the programme, Fleur spoke to Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink and his partner Lauren Oakley, as they were the fourth pair to be eliminated last weekend.
The former Chelsea footballer, 53, found himself in the dreaded bottom two alongside West End star Amber Davies and Nikita Kuzmin. However, the judges opted to save Amber and Nikita.
Speaking about his exit to Tess Daly, he said, "I can only say thank you very much for letting me have this experience, and to my daughters for pushing me to come here and do this. I never expected that I would enjoy it this much. The people behind the scenes, from the wardrobe people to the hairdressers to the make-up people, are absolutely magnificent - thank you very much."
Lauren said on the night: "I am absolutely gutted that it's come to an end. We've had so many laughs. We have had the best time, and I am so proud of how far he has come. And it proves that anyone can be a dancer if you put your mind to it. He's a footballer! And he just danced like that. We've had the best time, and I'm just so proud and I feel honoured to have been able to teach you. You've been an amazing student."
Strictly Come Dancing resumes on November 1st on BBC One and iPlayer.
