Battlefield 6 is almost here, although not quite as soon as some fans would like.
After years without a new mainline Battlefield game to speak of, Electronic Arts is back with Battlefield 6, which has an October 10 release date on PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC.
Unfortunately, however, it's not all good news, because Battlefield 6 won't have a global midnight launch.
Instead, Battlefield 6 will have a 4pm BST release time for fans living in the UK.
This means Battlefield 6 will launch at 8am PDT/11am EDT for fans in the US, and at 5pm CEST for players in Europe.
While the launch time isn't ideal for fans, the good news is that you can pre-load Battlefield 6 if you've pre-ordered the game.
There are actually two different versions of Battlefield 6 available for purchase, including the more expensive Phantom Edition for £99.99.
The Phantom Edition contains the base game including all of the single and multiplayer content, as well as the bonus Tombstone Pack for pre-order customers.
That's on top of a Battlefield Pro Token, which unlocks the Battle Pass with 25 tier skips. You'll also receive the Phantom Pack containing four skins, weapon packs, vehicle skin and other items.
If you've already downloaded Battlefield 6, you may want to check for the day-one update, which makes some big changes ahead of launch.
Version 1.0.1.0 changes the movement system used in the beta, while also tweaking map layouts and improving the HUD. You can see the major changes in the patch notes below.
