Married At First Sight star Charlene Douglas had been rushed to hospital - ruining her bank holiday weekend plans. The sex therapist took to social media to share details of her health scare.
Charlene, 43 - who has featured on E4's chaotic dating show since 2021 - had planned to spend her weekend at the Notting Hill Carnival in West London. But plans were derailed and she found herself being taken to A&E instead.
Taking to Instagram on Saturday, the dating expert gave details of her ordeal - sharing a photograph of her arm attached to a drip while in hospital. In an accompanying caption, she explained that she was suffering from a low level of iron.

She wrote: "When you had plans to represent your island vc at Notting Hill carnival and 'wuk your waistline' this weekend, but your body had other plans." She added hashtags, writing: "#anaemia #irondeficiency #gutted #slowdown #nottinghillcarnival #nhs #hospital."
Charlene also shared a short video clip of herself being pushed down a hospital corridor on a wheelchair. She wrote alongside the footage: "Life! ... Hair looks good though!"
And paying tribute to those that treated her, she added: "Thank you @nhsengland." Fans and followers were quick to offer support to the E4 star - and to offer her commiserations for having her fun plans spoiled.
One wrote: "Sending strength and a full recovery." Another typed: "Hope you feel better soon hun." And another wrote: "Sending healing prayers @charlenedouglasofficial xx."
As well as offering couples support on MAFS, Charlene has also appeared on E4's The Sex Clinic. She has been working as a relationship coach and sex expert for more than a decade - and preaches about the importance of intimacy in making a romance work and last.
Her website declared: "Intimacy is a key part of a healthy life. Every hug, kiss, or touch triggers an emotional connection and strengthens relationships". She is also not afraid to call out inappropriate behaviour on the romantic field.
Last year, she won praise from fans when she took to social media to blast "inappropriate" messages from married men.
In a bold move on her Instagram story, Charlene declared at the time: "Dear MARRIED MEN! Respectively please STOP messaging me under the disguise of 'I'm interested in what you do! 'I don't need daily morning 'hellos' - Please greet your wives instead! #inappropriatebehaviour #respectyourpartnerplease #notthatkindaqueen".
While Charlene has helped other couples find lasting love, it is believed she is not married herself - and she does work hard to keep her romantic life out of the spotlight.
Speaking to the Express last year, the E4 star said: "I think sex education has definitely got much better at school. In my day, I remember the girls and boys were separated.
"I found out about childbirth, which put me off for life. And it's the secret that you weren't really supposed to tell the boys about."
