A popular American drama series, which many dubbed a 'heart-pounding masterpiece' will finally be available to watch on ITVX after it first aired in 2001. The corporation have landed a licensing deal with Disney Entertainmentfor the complete Emmy Award-winning action drama series 24, along with 24: Live Another Day and evolution series 24: Legacy.
All episodes of the fan-favourite series will be available to stream onITVX from 2nd October this year. The series, created by Joel Surnow and Robert Cochran, follows a creative format where every episode covers 24 consecutive hours using the real-time method of narration.
24 follows Counter Terrorist Unit Agent Jack Bauer (played by Kiefer Sutherland), as he snuffs out endless terrorist plots, such as cyber attacks, presidential assassination attempts and more.

Other stars in the series include Yvonne Strahovski, Tate Donovan and Mary Lynn Rajskub. Leslie Hope, Sarah Clarke, and Dennis Haysbert also star in the original.
Meanwhile, 24: Live Another Day first aired in 2014 and is the ninth instalment of the 24 saga. It sees Jack exiled in London where he had to try to save US President James Heller.
24: Legacy came out in 2017 but has a new protagonist. Created by Manny Coto and Evan Katz, the series stars Corey Hawkins, Miranda Otto, Anna Diop, Teddy Sears, Ashley Thomas, and Dan Bucatinsky.

Back in July, Disney+ and ITVX announced their new partnership which saw both platforms share a curated selection of each other’s content.
As part of the deal, ITVX users gained access to several hit Disney+ series at no additional cost, including the first seasons of critically acclaimed shows like The Bear, Andor, and Only Murders In The Building.
Kevin Lygo, ITV’s managing director of media and entertainment, had called the agreement a perfect match between two strong brands.
He said: "Disney are fantastic partners with a brilliant breadth of content. This mutually beneficial alliance allows us to show our complementary audiences a specially selected collection of titles, regularly updating, that gives a flavour of the range in our respective offerings.
"For us, this deal means even more great content for viewers on ITVX, and even more opportunity for viewers to find and enjoy our distinctive titles and services."
