Sagar (Madhya Pradesh): Collector Sandeep GR has registered an FIR against more than 48 people and imposed a fine of Rs 1.85 lakh on them for burning stubble.
The collector directed all sub-divisional magistrates and Tehsildars to act against people burning stubble.
The collector said the officials had registered more than 54 FIRs against the guilty.
Sub-divisional magistrate of Bina, Vijay Dehria, registered the higher number of FIRs (nine), the collector said.
According to the collector, Dehria imposed a fine of Rs 96,500 on the defaulters.
Steps to stop child marriages
Collector Sandeep GR has directed the members of the flying squad to stop child marriages.
The administration will act against the people organising child marriages on April 30, when people also organise child marriages, the collector said.
The caterers and photographers should take the birth certificates of the boys and girls getting married from their parents.
If such people violate the instructions, they will also face action, he said.
He said the public representatives and the private institutions should take the copies of the birth certificates, mark sheets and school transfer certificates of the boys and girls getting married.
