Akasa Air has expanded its network with the launch of operations in Bihar's Darbhanga on Friday.
The airline inaugurated daily through-flights between Darbhanga and Hyderabad, with a stopover in Delhi, offering a seamless travel experience with no aircraft change required at Delhi.
This new route enhances connectivity between the tourist-rich region of Darbhanga and two major metropolitan hubs, Delhi and Hyderabad, the airline said in a press release.
The inaugural flight was flagged off by the Minister of Civil Aviation, K Ram Mohan Naidu, in the presence of Akasa Air’s Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Vinay Dube, along with senior government officials and the leadership of Delhi International Airport Limited. The maiden flight departed from Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi at 9:00 AM and landed at Darbhanga Airport at 10:55 AM.
With the addition of Darbhanga, Akasa Air now operates flights to 28 destinations across India.
