The 33rd match of the 2025 IPL is underway between Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Mumbai Indians (MI) at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. MI skipper Hardik Pandya won the toss and elected to bowl first.
MI's pace trio opened the bowling during the powerplay. In the first two overs, SRH managed to score only 15 runs. For the third over, Deepak Chahar took the ball, with SRH openers Abhishek Sharma and Travis Head at the crease. On the fifth ball of the third over, Chahar bowled to Abhishek.
The left-handed batter advanced to the pitch and cramped for room, dragging the heave off the inner half to mid-wicket. The ball went on the half-volley to mid-wicket and fell short of the leg-spinner , who attempted to stop the ball. While doing so, Karn hurt his finger and had to walk off the field as the injury began to bleed.
