Harry Kane has sent a clear message to Tottenham after winning the Europa League final courtesy of a Brennan Johnson goal against Manchester United.
A lacklustre first half sprung into life when a Pape Sarr cross was not cleared by United and with Johnson making a nuisance of himself in the box, the Wales international appeared to get a toe on the ball before it nestled in the back of the net.
Spurs then put in an excellent defensive shift to keep a clean sheet and win their first trophy in 17 years.

Having scored the decisive goal, Johnson was full of emotion when delivering his verdict immediately after the final whistle.
"I'm so happy right now. This season hasn't been good at all but not one of us players care about that now," he told TNT Sports.
"This club hasn't won a trophy for 17 years, it means so much. All the fans get battered, we get battered for not winning anything so we had to get the first one in a while today.
"Ever since I came here it's been 'Tottenham are a good team but they can't get it done'. But we got it done.
"Tottenham Hotspur finishing 17th in the Premier League is not good enough but we've had an unbelievable Europa run. I thought our fans had the edge on the United fans."
On Postecoglou specifically, he added: "He's done his job. He said he wins in his second year and he has. If ever there is time for a mic drop it is now - I'm looking forward to his interview."
"He has a really good way of getting everyone up for it in the Europa League and today it shows."
Gareth Bale, Glenn Hoddle and Ally McCoist were among those to offer their reaction to the huge success with former striker Kane then sending a message on social media.

Reposting Spurs' full-time graphic to his own story which confirmed them as winners, he simply said: "Congratulations @spursofficial [white heart emoji]."
Kane had already admitted ahead of the showpiece clash in Bilbao that he would be supporting his boyhood club as a fan and such a message so soon after full-time suggests he was watching on nervously like thousands of other Spurs supporters.
On winning a trophy in the same season as Kane, club captain Son Heung-min told TNT Sports: "They're different trophies. But we have an unbelievable friendship i was so happy that he won, 'Harry 'we won as well'."
