Arsenal icon Thierry Henry sent a message to summer signing Ebere Eze after he completed his £67.5million move from Crystal Palace. The Gunners' new number 10 was unveiled to supporters prior to their emphatic 5-0 win over Leeds United with Eze getting a sneak peak of what his new teammates were capable of.
Eze's astronomic rise from QPR to Palace before returning to his boyhood club characterised the hard work since being released by Arsenal aged 13. Mikel Arteta's side won the race to sign the England international after their North London rivals Tottenham Hotspur looked poised to sign him before Arsenal hijacked their move.
The new Gunners star has already proclaimed that the Frenchman was his icon growing up and supporting the club.

During an interview with another iconic figure in the capital, Ian Wright, he showed Eze a message from Henry expressing his delight at him making the cross-London move.
"First and foremost, welcome to the Arsenal," he began.
"You don't understand how happy we all are.
"We all know how much you wanted to play for The Arsenal, and wear the cannon at the Emirates. There you go - it's not a dream anymore, it's not a utopia. That has become reality.
"Make sure that you make it count.
"Remember, when I first arrived at the Arsenal, they told me that it is a club that has class, it's a family club, and you got to fight no matter what.
"All the very best, I’m so happy. Come on The Arsenal!"
In what would have been an emotional moment throughout for Eze and his family following the trials and tribulations of becoming a professional footballer, the attacker was lost for words at the message from an Arsenal great.
"He’s got a statue outside, bro," Eze replied.
"You know what? When you use words, you can ruin something.
"I'm telling you, this for me, it's the feeling. I can try and explain it, but it's the feeling, man. This is powerful."
